2011 Annual Employee Ownership Conference
Denver, Colo. will play host to the Annual Employee Ownership Conference, April 13 – 15, 2011 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, co-organized by the Beyster Institute and the National Center for Employee Ownership. Approaching its 11th year, this event promises to produce valuable learning opportunities throughout the three-day conference, designed to inform and inspire.
The conference will provide more than 67 innovative and engaging breakout sessions, three general sessions, and two-preconference sessions led by thought-provoking leaders in the field. Learning tracks include “ESOP Basics”; “ESOPs: Beyond the Basics”; “Equity Compensation”; “Communications and Culture”; and “Leadership and Governance”. New to this year’s conference will feature pre-conference sessions on April 12 where participants may pre-register and take part in one of two sessions: “Equity Compensation for Privately-Held Companies” and “Wellness Programs in Employee-Owned Companies”.
We are pleased to announce that we will welcome three highly esteemed keynote speakers: Blake Jones, president and co-founder of Namaste Solar, which was awarded the Employee Ownership Innovations Award in 2009 for its unique employee ownership structure; Joseph Blasi, professor and sociologist at the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University, whose work addresses broad-based employee ownership, profit sharing, and stock options; and Richard Freeman, who holds the Herbert Ascherman Chair in Economics at Harvard University and who received the Mincer Lifetime Achievement Prize from the Society of Labor Economics in 2006 and the IZA Prize in Labor Economics in 2007.
Prepare to stay the weekend and explore Denver’s cultural and leisure offerings, from attending a live evening performance by the Denver Symphony Orchestra’s “Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Bach” to enjoying an exciting baseball game at Coors Field between the Colorado Rockies vs. the Chicago Cubs. The 2011 Employee Ownership Conference invites you to participate, engage and share your ownership spirit on April 13 – 15 in Denver.
