Successfully thriving in the global economy of the 21st century and beyond will require new business models and strategies to enable the American dream of opportunity and economic prosperity. One model is employee ownership. We the Owners captures stories from the founders and employees from New Belgium Brewing, Namasté Solar, and DPR Construction and brings the perspectives of the employee owners into the classroom and entrepreneurial centers. Hear their perspectives on shared ownership structures, highly empowering corporate cultures, linked risk and reward, and human-capital innovation models. Follow their decisions on founding the company, expansion, succession, recruitment, and layoffs.
This is a feel-good film that presents an optimistic view of what people can achieve when working together with common goals of shared responsibilities and shared rewards.
