A critical element of the growth of any enterprise is funding. The Rady Venture Fund, supported through the philanthropy of alumni and local business leaders, provides funding to a couple of startups each year. Companies are chosen by students in the MGT496A&B courses, who work with local venture capitalists to conduct due diligence, select the investments and set the terms.
The Triton Technology Fund is housed at the Jacobs School of Engineering and governed by a team of prominent investors and UC San Diego alumnus. The Fund invests in startups with a technology focus.
