The Americas: United States, Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Haiti and Venezuela
Europe and Eurasia: Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Russia and Ukraine
Middle East and North Africa: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, West Bank/Gaza, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen
South Asia: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka

Small and Medium Enterprise Development

The Entrepreneur Development Program places emphasis on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as important drivers of economic development. Within the realm of trade and competitiveness, the Program offers skills training essential to ensuring the long-term success of international partnerships. Our curriculum focuses on leadership, communication, negotiation and peer-to-peer learning. This training complements offerings within export promotion and market linkage programs, recognizing that preparing SMEs to be their own best advocates helps not only to build, but to sustain their viability within the global marketplace.

Civil Society Organization Development

The Entrepreneur Development Program applies its private sector entrepreneurship methodology to civil society and nongovernmental organizations. Through training, coaching and mentoring, leaders of these organizations develop the skills needed to achieve their social missions while creating financially viable and sustainable organizations. These capacity-building programs enhance leadership skills, improve the quality and scope of advocacy initiatives and increase organizational effectiveness, especially in the areas of program implementation, fundraising and public-private partnerships.

Through our specialized learning programs, leaders of business and civil society organizations increase their ability to build and manage successful organizations. Our programs can be tailored to specific industries and regions as needed. The Entrepreneur Development Program offers proprietary entrepreneurship learning modules and intensive two-week courses, most of which are available in Arabic, French and Russian as well as English. Training opportunities include leadership development programs, organizational development programs, regional study tours, visiting entrepreneur programs and exchanges, and mini-MBA programs.

Centers for Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneur Development Programs Centers for Entrepreneurship act as catalyst organizations to develop entrepreneurs who can lead and manage growing companies. More than just training centers, they broaden the role and scope of entrepreneurship in society and the economy by focusing on high-potential entrepreneurs and addressing impediments to enterprise development and growth. Our approach involves delivering experiential education, facilitating investment and trade, advocating for policy reforms and building networks with local partners. Learn more...

Building Networks

Our programs take full advantage of the power of peer learning by creating networks that foster productive, long-term relationships. Our networks offer virtual and real-time information sharing, collaboration opportunities and continuous learning through meetings, conferences and online exchanges. In addition, we offer programs to create or enhance the interaction between business and civil society organizations, giving both an opportunity to positively affect their own organizations and their communities.

Entrepreneurship Faculty Development

Our training programs for entrepreneurship instructors emphasize innovative methods of instruction, encouraging creative teaching that incorporates case studies, business plans and the use of entrepreneurs in the classroom. These programs help educators provide effective instruction that gives students the skills and confidence they need to build strong businesses.

International Conferences and Events

From major conferences to multi-week training programs, the Entrepreneur Development Program provides in-country programming for our clients. Past events have included businesswomens summits, policy conferences and faculty training conferences. Programs can be localized for specific audiences and presented in multiple languages using simultaneous interpretation.
