PITM 2008

About the Conference

About

The POMS college of Product Innovation and Technology Management (PITM) holds a special conference to bring together researchers and practitioners at the cutting-edge of innovation, new product development, and technology management. The special conference will seamlessly follow the annual POMS conference and will be held at the University of California’s Rady School of Management (in La Jolla CA) May 12–13, 2008.  This year we would also like to invite researchers at the interface between information systems, economics, and innovation/technology management.

The conference will focus on topics of current research interest, across four sessions:

  • Open Innovation
  • Global Product Development
  • Technology Management and Organizational Learning
  • Information Technology and Innovation

Each session will feature one or two extended presentation followed by in-depth discussion. We will also be joined by practicing managers who are grappling with these issues and will serve as discussants. A primary goal of the conference is to build a critical mass of researchers around important problems and facilitate the formation of a research agenda for the PITM community. PITM Conference agenda details are forthcoming.

The registration fee of $150 (for PITM College members) includes snacks and dinner on the first day, and breakfast, lunch, and snacks on the second day. Preregistration is required and seats are limited. Seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Simply fill out the on-line registration form along with the POMS conference registration.
