Assistant Professor of Finance Halov's research interests are in corporate finance, capital structure, asymmetric information, risk management and corporate governance. He teaches finance courses for the FlexMBA and the Full-Time MBA programs at the Rady School. He is a member of the American Finance Association, the Western Finance Association and the Financial Management Association. Halov received his Ph.D. in finance from New York University in 2007. While at NYU he held the Jules I. Bogen Fellowship and the Doctoral Fellowship. Also at NYU, Halov won the award for Ph.D. Teaching Excellence at the Stern School of Business in 2005. He was an instructor for the course “Foundations of Financial Markets.” Halov recently received the Xiayi Hong best paper award at the 2011 China International Finance Conference. |
