Nikolay V. Halov
Assistant Professor of Finance
Dr. Halov received his Ph.D. in finance from New York University in 2007. While at NYU he held the Jules I. Bogen Fellowship and the Doctoral Fellowship. His research interests are in corporate finance, capital structure, asymmetric information, risk management and derivatives and short selling. Also at NYU, Dr. Halov won the Award for Ph.D. Teaching Excellence at the Stern School of Business in 2005. He was an instructor for a course, “Foundations of Financial Markets,” and this experience makes him an excellent addition to the finance faculty at the Rady School. He teaches finance courses in both the FlexMBA and Full-Time MBA program.
