Fellowship Description

The Brandes Fellows program is intended to assist the Rady School in attracting the highest quality students to its MBA program.

The Brandes Fellows program intends to reduce barriers for exceptional students who might otherwise not attend the Rady School and selects the most meritorious candidates from a pool of applicants who have economic need. The Brandes Fellows program is grounded in a belief that it will, in the longer term, contribute to the economic vibrancy of the region through the development of exceptional business leaders.

Potential Brandes Fellows are identified first on the basis of merit, with a deep respect for and interest in supporting individuals who have been extraordinary in the context of their particular circumstances, backgrounds and experiences. Merit will be evaluated both in terms of academic qualifications and of professional experience and contributions. Each Brandes Fellow will demonstrate achievement of a significant goal that he or she has set. Fellows will also have demonstrated a philanthropic or community spirit, with a clear desire to give back to their communities and the world.

Eligibility for fellowship funding is evaluated at the time of admission to the MBA program. All applicants are considered for available fellowships.
