Application Checklist

A completed MBA application will include the following components:

Application Form

The application form is completed online.

Academic History

Official transcript(s) from each college and/or university attended (one set from each institution) should be sent directly to our admissions office.

Employment History and Resume

Please prepare a business resume (as opposed to an academic CV).

Recommendations

Two recommendations received by the Rady School, submitted via the online recommendation form available within the application or mailed to us using the downloadable form (also accessible through the online application). You may find it useful to consider in advance whom you will ask to serve as recommenders, so that you can contact these individuals and confirm their willingness.

Essays

The online application includes several essay questions. Essays can be uploaded to the application from your word processing program. View the essay topics.

GMAT Scores

The final admissions decision is contingent upon receipt of your official GMAT score report. Our program code for our Full-Time MBA program is 3NS-ZK-54 and for our FlexMBA the code is 3NS-ZK-26. We encourage you to prepare carefully before taking the test. While you may submit your application before taking the GMAT, final admissions decisions cannot be made until we have received your scores. Please note: applicants who have completed an M.D. at an accredited U.S. medical school may be eligible for waiver of the GMAT. In addition, applicants who have completed a doctoral degree in a technical, scientific or quantitatively-based discipline at an accredited U.S. institution may also be eligible for waiver of the GMAT requirement. Applicants should consult the admissions office for further information.

TOEFL and IELTS Scores

TOEFL and IELTS scores (for international applicants only) are to be sent to institutional code 4836-02, from ETS.  Minimum scores for TOEFL: Computer-based 213, Paper 550, Internet 80. The minimum score for IELTS is 7.

Application Fee

The application fee for both the Full-Time and FlexMBA is $150. The non-refundable fee is payable by credit card through the online application. You may also pay by check, following the instructions in the online application. If you choose to pay by check, please note that your application cannot be processed until your check has been received.
