Rady Summer Interns: What are you doing this summer?

We asked Rady School students to give us an update on what they are doing at their summer internships.

Rady Student: Patrick Kelly

What I'm doing: Using a detailed modeling approach, I provide quantitative analysis for a broad range of problems within the renewable energy industry. This includes valuing potential wind, solar and other renewable energy projects as well as using analytics to assess other opportunities.

Ready through Rady: During my internship, I have been amazed to discover the complexity of the electricity market, which is driven by a supply and demand curve straight out of our economics class. The lessons learned during Assistant Professors Lauga and Sadoff’s classes have served me well in understanding the relationships between all the players in the market. As for the modeling, my experience gained from Professor Roemer's Quantitative Analysis class has been invaluable and is keeping my head above water!.
