Rady School to Host Two Academic Conferences This Spring

The Behavioral Decision Research in Management Conference is held biennially and brings together the best of behavioral research in consumer behavior, organizational behavior, negotiation, managerial decision making, behavioral finance, experimental and behavioral economics, decision analysis, behavioral strategy, behavioral operations research, behavioral accounting and medical and legal decision making.

The BDRM conference will be held April 24-26, 2008, at the Rady School of Management.

The POMS college of Product Innovation and Technology Management (PITM) will hold a special conference to bring together researchers and practitioners at the cutting-edge of innovation, new product development, and technology management. The special conference will follow the annual POMS conference.

The conference will focus on topics of current research interest, across four sessions. Topics will include open innovation, global product development, technology management/organizational learning and information technology/innovation.

Each session will feature one or two extended presentations followed by in-depth discussion. The conference will also be attended by practicing managers who are grappling with these issues and will serve as discussants. The primary goal of the conference is to build a critical mass of researchers around important problems and facilitate the formation of a research agenda for the PITM community.

The PITM conference will be held May 12-13, 2008 at the Rady School of Management.
