Executive Development Offering Climate Change and Biotech Programs

The Center for Executive Development is known for offering relevant, timely programming, in a non-degree format. Two emerging industries, biotech and climate change, will be the focus of executive development programs in early summer. “Climate Change and Business: The ROI for Going Green” will run May 7–9 and “Biotech Demystified: The Science Behind the Business” runs June 8–10.

The ROI for Going Green is a joint program, held in conjunction with Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The program will provide participants with a basic understanding of climate change, and what strategies businesses and investors can employ to increase their bottom line, while “greening” their corporate environment.

Biotech Demystified provides executives and decision makers with a practical understanding of the basic science powering the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. This course is offered through the Rady School of Management in collaboration with UC San Diego’s Division of Biological Sciences and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
