Rady MBAs Visit 13 Companies on Bay Area Trek
The 3rd Annual Rady Bay Area Trek was a successful and productive event. More than 35 MBAs from the Flex and Full-Time programs joined MBA Career Connections to visit 13 companies in the finance, life science and technology industries.
Students visited the San Jose BioCenter, Abbott Laboratories, Affymetrix, Bank of the West, BlackRock, Brocade, Capricorn Management Group, Cisco, Genentech, Gilead Science, Hewlett-Packard, IDEO and Life Technologies.
Visits allowed MBAs to learn about the companies, in order to understand how innovation plays a role in their success. They also heard directly from the companies about the types of roles for which they are currently recruiting. The trek was culminated with a Rady Bay Area alumni reception at the California Academy of Sciences that brought together Rady MBAs, alumni from the Rady School and UC San Diego and corporate partners in the Bay Area.
