What classes do I need to take to earn a certificate?

You must take all of the listed classes under each certificate on this page unless otherwise noted.

Is there a time frame in which I must complete all of the classes?

No. Most of our classes are offered twice a year so you will have multiple opportunities. 

Do I need to apply to receive a certificate?

No, we track your classes and will contact you if you get close to completing a certificate.

When will I receive my certificate?

You will receive your certificate during the last class that you attend to earn the certificate.

How can I check on the progress of my certificate?

You can email us at radyexecdev@ucsd.edu.

Do classes need to be taken in a certain order?

No, you can take the classes in any order you'd like. Most of our open enrollment courses are offered twice per year so you have a couple opportunities to complete a certificate if dates don't work for you.

Do these certificates count towards a degree?

No, our courses do not count towards any degree or credit.

What does the certificate say upon completion?

The certificate awards completion of your chosen track and comes from the Rady Center for Executive Development, which is a department at the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego. The certificate is signed by the Dean of the Rady School, Robert Sullivan and Assistant Dean of the Center for Executive Development, Clark Jordan.
