State Officials Study Israeli Water Technology Amid Drought
As California struggles to cope with the record drought, state leaders are looking to arid Israel for possible solutions. A delegation organized by the U.S.-Israel Center on Innovation & Economic Sustainability at UC San Diego’s Rady School of Managemen visited Israel last month to see how that country has overcome water shortages in its dry, desert climate.
California-Israel partnership can create global change
A group of visionary colleagues from Israel and the United States came together July 21 for an Economic Roundtable, hosted by the U.S.-Israel Center on Innovation and Economic Sustainability at UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management, to form work teams and programs to mobilize students, researchers, entrepreneurs and investors to develop policies and programs that will implement the Israel California Innovation agreement.
The U.S.-Israel Center on Innovation and Economic Sustainability Announces Upcoming Cal-Israel Economic Roundtable and Launch of the Stanley Foster Memorial Cal-Israel Innovations Speaker Series
The speaker series will honor the late Stanley Foster, a highly respected civic leader and a pillar in the San Diego community who exemplified innovation, business leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. The inaugural event, which is open to the public, will be held on July 21, 2014 at the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego. A cocktail reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Two MBA Students at the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego Receive Rady Israel Center Fellowships
The U.S. – Israel Center on Innovation & Economic Sustainability (USIC) at the Rady School of Management has awarded Rady Israel Center Fellowships that give two MBA students the opportunity to learn about Israeli innovation first-hand. MBA students Jamie Weisman and Vance Lopez will travel to Israel for 10 weeks beginning in June for internships at Israeli tech companies. It is the first time that Israeli and U.S. fellows are being trained and supervised on innovation projects in Israel launched by the Milken Institute.
