Monique Casellas

Director of Development

As director of development at the Rady School of Management, Monique Casellas leads the efforts to advance the school’s mission by identifying and engaging potential donors and volunteers to support students, faculty, research and community outreach. She oversees the development team’s work to find local, national and international philanthropic partners, corporations and foundations that align with Rady’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

Before she joined the Rady School in 2018, Casellas served in a variety of advancement and public relations roles. She was an associate director at the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; founder/director of a public relations and communications startup in her hometown of Tijuana; and served as chief of protocol for the City of Tijuana. Casellas has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico and a master’s degree in communication from Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain.
