Alumni Career Coach Joins Rady Graduate Career Connections Team

The Rady School of Management has hired an Alumni Career Coach to join the Rady Graduate Career Connections team. Kimberly Higgins, Professional Certified Coach (PCC) will work exclusively with Rady School alumni to provide career coaching and professional support.

"Kimberly Higgins has provided excellent career coaching to the Rady School's FlexMBA students for the past year," said Terra Saltzman-Baker, Director of Rady Graduate Career Connections. "It was a natural fit for her to move into a role working with Rady School alumni as she is familiar with the career objectives of our students and graduates."

Higgins will provide personalized coaching sessions for Rady School alumni as well as career management support such as reviewing resumes and cover letters and offering career guidance. She will also work with groups of Rady School alumni to provide career development opportunities and tools.

"Rady School alumni have a tremendous impact on the innovation economy," said Higgins. "I am delighted to work with the alumni and assist them in fulfilling their diverse career aspirations."

Higgins has an extensive background in career coaching, with over ten years' experience working inside corporations within a human resources capacity. Higgins has successfully partnered with hundreds of professionals to foster and manage their career development. Higgins has worked as a Career Coach and Corporate Recruiter for TaylorMade - Adidas Golf and as an independent Coach and Career Consultant. Higgins is certified as a career coach by the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and accredited through the International Coach Federation.

In addition to Higgins joining Rady Graduate Career Connections, there have been other experts that have recently joined the team. Rosilynn Pennywell is the new MBA Career Advisor. She coaches first and second year MBA students on how to navigate through the internship and career-search process. In addition to coaching, she organizes a deep-dive careers session during orientation, Rady@Work group sessions, alumni mock interviews and various other career-search programs to help MBAs explore the marketplace.

Danelle Boone has joined the team as the Graduate Career Advisor and will focus on working with Rady's new Master of Finance students. Danelle advises students on career planning, including how to navigate the internship and job search processes.  In addition to advising, Danelle also coordinates information sessions, seminars and workshops to help students learn more about various industries and employers, as well as how to network, interview and research career options.

Leanne Taylor is the new Careers Program Coordinator. She provides information to students, corporate visitors and potential employers about events and job and internship postings. Leanne also assists Chris Kelly in the successful planning of career events. She plays a key role in supporting the international students at Rady, giving them additional support in their career development and job and internship searches.
