Office of Students with Disabilities (OSD)

The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) at UC San Diego works with:

Resources for Graduate Student-Parents

UCSD has a plethora of resources for Graduate Student-Parents, including expectant parents. These resources range from academic status to health and child care options. If you are an AES, there are some additional resources available to you as well!

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is an integral member of the UCSD community. Our integrative and student-centered services are designed to support students towards their academic success and personal development and well-being while at UC San Diego.

UCSD Basic Needs

UC San Diego Basic Needs Initiatives is a collection of services provided by campus partners to work with both undergraduate and graduate students who have concerns with access to Basic Needs Resources. Services are categorized by Food Security, Housing Stability, and Financial Wellness.

  • The Hub Basic Needs Center coordinates basic needs resources vital to thrive as a student, which includes access to nutritious food, stable housing, and financial wellness resources. We provide basic needs services and resource referrals to registered UC San Diego students. Ask us about CalFresh food benefits! 858-246-2632.
  • Basic Needs: Any student who has difficulty accessing sufficient food to eat every day, or who lacks a safe and stable place to live, and believes this may affect their academic performance, is encouraged to contact:, or call 858-246-2632.
  • Triton Food Pantry is an emergency food relief program to provide food for students and fight food insecurity. You can get canned food, pasta, beans, and rice as well as fruit and vegetables at the pantry.

Geisel Library

The world-renowned research for which UC San Diego is known starts at the UC San Diego Library, which provides the foundation of knowledge needed to advance cutting-edge discoveries in a wide range of disciplines, from healthcare and science to public policy and the arts.

Teaching + Learning Commons

The Commons is the foundation for achieving the university’s goal to be a student-centered university. Its programs and services create a contiguous, multi-layered network of support that jointly enhance learning and increase academic success.

Student Health Services (SHS)

UC Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP)

Student Health Services provides quality primary medical care, including urgent care and support services such as laboratory, pharmacy, and x-ray. We have primary care physicians who are board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Some of our physicians also have additional training and expertise in Gynecology, Sports Medicine, Rheumatology, Urgent Care, and Mental/Behavioral Health.

UCSD Recreation

To inspire all Tritons to lead an active life. Recreation engages students and the campus community to pursue lifelong wellbeing, growth, and success.

Parking & Transportation

Students, faculty and staff can choose from several parking permit options to meet their needs. Under University of California policy, anyone who parks at UC San Diego must pay a fee to help support construction, maintenance, and administration of parking facilities.
