Funding Opportunities

Californians For All College Corps grant

UCSD received the #CaliforniansForAll College Corps grant, and the Changemaker Institute will be administering it. Our friends at the Changemaker Institute just opened applications for this subsidized community-engaged learning opportunity, with places for 120 students, 20 of which will be reserved for undocumented students.

The program is 450 hours total, including 90 hours of training before and during the academic year, and about 360 hours of direct service. This comes out to about 12 hours per week. Depending on the site, this might look like 2 x 6-hour or 3 x 4-hour shifts at a school or nonprofit (and possibly online).

This opportunity is meant to be in place of a job since students would be receiving a $7,000 living stipend, plus a $3,000 education award upon completion of the program.

For more information about the UC San Diego program, please go to the College Corps at UC San Diego website. Students can apply at https://tinyurl.com/UCSDcollegecorps22-23

Application Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through June 15, 2022. For best consideration, please apply by May 15, 2022.

Notification of Application Decision: Prospective students should expect to be informed of their acceptance into the program on or before July 31, 2022.
