Koji Takezaki (MBA ’14)

“To me, compared with what to learn, ‘how’ to learn is more important. I love Rady’s small class size since I have more opportunity to take initiative in class.”

Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Economics

Industry: Government Affairs

Koji’s Rady Experience: The Rady School’s culture of challenge and risk taking is outstanding. Whether it is students, professors, or staff, most of us come to Rady taking risk, since we are a new school. I worked at the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a policy maker for six years. Though I reformed some policies such as Labor Law or Public Accounting Law, I realized I prefer making faster changes in society.

To me, compared with what to learn, “how” to learn is more important. I love the small class size since I have more opportunity to take initiative in class. Because of collaborative classmates, I can progress with my English communication skills faster than in other places.
