Get Involved - Join a Committee!

Engagement Committee
Works with the Rady Alumni Affairs office to enhance alumni engagement across various channels. Goals and objectives focus on strengthening the alumni network, student-alumni interaction, Graduway platform engagement, alumni satisfaction, regional engagement, and program/event participation.

Careers Committee
Works with the Rady Careers office to engage alumni in strategic planning and initiatives that focus on positive career outcomes for current students.

Recruitment and Marketing Committee
Works with the Rady Admissions and MarCom offices to incorporate alumni into the recruiting process and assist with the overall strategic goals in attracting talented students. Alumni engage with prospective students, act as Rady ambassadors at recruiting events, and encourage fellow alumni to participate in the Rady Referral Program.

Bosco Luja

Bosco Lujan, President

Bosco Lujan Valladolid is a Vice President at Morgan Stanley. He has over 15 years of business experience working in Mexico, New York and California. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Mingei International Museum. Bosco holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he was on the Board of the Business Leadership Program. He earned an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2012.

Haytham Allos

Haytham Allos

Haytham Allos is a visionary and experienced executive with over 20 years of experience. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer for Realstir.com specializing in providing a disruptive platform for the Real Estate industry. As a respected technology and business leader, Haytham is highly regarded as a key resource, critical thinker and out-of-the-box problem solver by senior executive customers including Denso Corporation, Pfizer Inc., Hewlett-Packard Company, General Motors Corporation and various government agencies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from University of California San Diego, and earned an MBA in 2006 from the Rady School of Management as part of the inaugural FlexWeekend cohort and first class to matriculate at Rady.

Katie Baca-Motes

Katie Baca-Motes

Katie Baca-Motes is the Director of The Participant Center for the All of Us Research Program, at Scripps Research, where she manages the All of Us Research Program Direct Volunteer outreach, enrollment and retention, the Digital Health Technology team, the Support Center, and the Wearable, Salivary DNA and DV EHR Pilot programs. Katie’s past experience includes managing behavioral research projects with the Scripps Translational Science Institute, Walt Disney Company, Aetna, Janssen, and others. The research projects have leveraged insights from behavioral economics and other social sciences to improve clinical trial enrollment, increase the return on incentive schemes, understand the psychology behind consumer decisions, identify effective donor communication, increase the effectiveness of corporate wellness programs and improve patient outcomes. Her expertise is in running research projects that meet the robust standards of academic/clinical research out in “the real world” with large corporations that typically have little or no experience with such research. Katie’s research has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research and featured in the book, “The Small Big: small changes that spark big influence”. Her writing has been published on Time.com. She is also an adjunct lecturer at The Rady School of Management, University of California, San Diego where she teaches negotiation. Katie earned her MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2009.

Amy Bernal

Amy Bernal, Chair, Recruitment & Marketing Committee

Amy is the Vice President of Customer Experience at Aira.io, a local startup that is changing lives of individuals who are Blind or Visually Impaired through the interaction of smart wearable devices, AI, and real, remote people, called Aira Agents. Founded just over two years ago by Rady Alumnus, CEO Suman Kanuganti,the company has grown quickly, with almost 200 users, and plans to scale to over 2,000 this year. Aira was recently awarded “Best New Technology” from PCMag, “Best Accessibility Tech” from CTA, as well as “Most Innovative Product” by CONNECT San Diego. Prior to Aira, Amy was a Senior Program Manager at Intuit in the Consumer Tax Group. Before moving into tech, Amy worked for West Health and the Gary and Mary West Foundation, partnering with organizations to reduce the cost of health care for older adults through technology or preventative care. She is a proud alumna of UC San Diego Rady School of Management, Flex Evening class of 2014. In her personal time, Amy promotes women in technology through her involvement with Athena, Women Give San Diego, and the Rady Alumni Board.

Cody Becker

Cody Becker

Cody Becker is Customer Success Manager for Propeller Health – a leading digital therapeutics company dedicated to the development and commercialization of measurably better medicines. Prior to that he was CEO of VEG, LLC, a San Diego based company that enables people to grow veggies at home by making it simple. Cody was a submariner in the US Navy. He joined the Navy directly after high school in 2003. Following his Basic Training at Great Lakes Recruit Training Command he graduated from Nuclear Machinist Mate “A” School and Navy Nuclear Power School located at Navy Nuclear Power Training Command Charleston, South Carolina. He then followed on to complete his training at the Nuclear Power Training Unit in Ballston Spa, New York. In 2006 he transferred from the Nuclear Power Training Unit to USS LOS ANGELES (SSN 688). While onboard he completed two Western Pacific Deployments until 2010 when he received orders to the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center where he would work in the Distance Support Operations Center until 2014. From 2010 to 2014 he also attended Thomas Edison State University and earned his Bachelors of Science in Applied Science with emphasis in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology. Cody earned his MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2016.

Dr. Andrea Yoder Clark

Andrea Yoder Clark

Dr. Andrea Yoder Clark began her career as a Teach for America teacher in North Long Beach, built an after school program science mentorship program for under-served high school students in southeast San Diego, as well as successfully built and sold her own mobile app company. Since 2009, Dr. Yoder Clark has owned her own consulting company doing data analytics for non-profits and schools and has served as the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Jacobs Institute for Innovation in Education at the School of Leadership and Education Studies at University of San Diego. While at USD, Dr. Yoder Clark published and presented on how to use big data analytics and machine learning in education. Today, Dr. Yoder Clark consults as a data scientist with 8 X 8, focused on building machine learning products to guide customer retention and improve business goals and is the Senior Director of Marketing Analytics at Bridgepoint Education. At Bridgepoint, Dr. Yoder Clark is directly responsible for refining their analytics strategy and building the data driven story that defines how they target students who are the best fit for their programs and retain them through successful graduation. Dr. Yoder Clark has her PhD in Education from Claremont Graduate University and received her Masters in Business Analytics from the Rady School of Management in 2017.

Theo Constantouros

Theo Constantouros, Chair, Engagement Committee

Theo Constantouros is a Systemic Engagements Manager for Cisco Systems Inc. Prior to Cisco, he worked as an Account Director for Apollo Interactive, one of Los Angeles’ premiere boutique marketing firms, where he focused on implementing real-time transaction analytics to improve advertising spend and conversion. As a Rady student he served as President of the Rady Student Board, Co-Editor of the Rady Business Journal, and Lead Student Ambassador. He received a BA in Biochemistry from the University of Southern California, with a minor in Biotechnology, and an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2017.

Jarrod Hammes

Jarrod Hammes

Jarrod is the Director of Product Management and UX at ecoATM, a division of Outerwall (Redbox / Coinstar). Prior to his current role, he was VP of Marketing for IP Video Networks, a San Diego company that provides software and hardware to the IPTV/Cable and Broadcast industry of Europe, Asia and the U.S. He spent 13 years in that industry, helping public and private companies develop technology to deliver video content to wider markets with greater quality. While a Rady School student, he provided business case analysis for Motorola during a summer internship. Jarrod earned an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2008.

Josh Kuss

Josh Kuss, Vice President; Chair, Careers Committee

Joshua Kuss has 14 years of experience in a variety of marketing, operations, and business strategy roles in the consumer tech and biotech spaces. In his current role as the Director of Commercial Strategy at Illumina, he leads a team responsible for strategic planning, organizational change management, and the product commercialization process.  Prior to joining the company, Josh held various product-centric operations roles at Sony and Hewlett-Packard; and served as a strategy consultant for a number of San Diego tech startups. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of San Diego, and earned an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2008.

Steven Longley

Steven Longley

Steven brings a strong track record in building technology solutions, managing teams and growing shareholder value in early stage growth companies. Steven’s primary focus in his career has been on helping financial firms and corporations drive profitability and improve revenue productivity. Steven is currently the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Financial Recovery Technologies, a privately held organization focused on maximizing returns from securities litigation recoveries, where he is charged with building strategic partnerships that drive FRT’s revenue growth. Today Financial Recovery Technologies services over 600 financial institutions representing over $20 Trillion in assets. Steven is also the principal investor and co-founder of Longley Capital which is focused on applying strategic advisory consulting and early stage investment capital with a singular focus on driving shareholder value. Prior to FRT, Longley was Global Head of Business Development and Strategy for the Reuters editorial division of Thomson Reuters, responsible for driving third party partner contributions to the Reuters Insider platform, a multimedia news and collaboration platform for the financial markets. Steven began his career in sales with CCBN, an Inc. 500 company, where he was a top performing sales executive and contributed to a successful exit with a sale to Thomson Financial. Steven received a BA in Economics from Trinity College of Hartford, CT and was a graduate of Rady’s Weekend MBA program in 2009.

Keegan McNamara

Keegan McNamara

Keegan McNamara is a real estate entrepreneur who specializes in urban infill, smart growth developments. His development and investment company, McNamara Ventures, focuses on small-scale developments in San Diego County. He currently has three multi-family development projects in various stages of entitlement and construction. Keegan also owns a residential property management company, MV Properties, that manages apartments, homes, and condos. Keegan oversees the day-to-day strategy and operations of MV Properties. In addition, he advises select clients and investors on real estate investment strategies – as an advisor and co-investor. Keegan is a licensed California real estate broker, and is active in the Urban Land Institute. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and English from Occidental College. Keegan received an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2011, with a focus on Finance.

Hiroki “Rocky” Mitsuhashi

Hiroki “Rocky” Mitsuhashi

Rocky Mitsuhashi is a General Manager at ERT, a US based global data and technology company that minimizes uncertainty and risk in clinical trials, oversees its Japan and APAC business. Over 20 years, Rocky has helped more than 50 business start-ups, business creation and expansion across the industry with recent focus on digital healthcare and drug R&D sector, as a founder, co-founder, CEO, Regional/General Manager, consultant and investor. After helping Dream Incubator, one of the first professional incubators in Japan spun out from the Boston Consulting Group, grow its business to be listed in Tokyo Stock Exchange, Rocky earned his MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2008 where he has transformed his domain from IT to life-science and global business. Rocky resides in Tokyo and currently leads the Rady Alumni Tokyo Chapter.

Martin Sabarsky

Martin Sabarsky

Martin Sabarsky is CEO of Cellana LLC, a leading developer of algae-based bioproducts, and he also is a partner at Kirkpatrick & Sabarsky LLP, a San Diego-based transactional law firm. Previously, Martin served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Diversa Corp. (Nasdaq: DVSA), a public biotechnology company. Before Diversa, Martin worked as an investment banker at Bear Stearns, focusing on financings and mergers and acquisitions within the life sciences sector, including Diversa’s $200 million IPO. Before that, Martin worked as a transactional attorney with Latham & Watkins LLP on over $10 billion of transactions in a variety of sectors. Martin has an A.B. in Biology and Political Science from Brown University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and he earned his MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2006 as a member of the school’s inaugural class. He formerly served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Algae Biomass Organization (ABO).

Sergey Sikora

Sergey Sikora

Dr. Sergey Sikora is Co-Founder, President and CEO of CardioCell. He has eight years of management and 12 years of biomedical-research experience. He brought his expertise in cardiology diagnostics and therapeutics to CardioCell’s parent company Stemedica in 2013. Before that, Dr. Sikora served as SVP at GenWay, where he established and led the FirstMark Cardiology Diagnostics Division and successfully divested two of the largest divisions of GenWay to Sigma-Aldrich. His career also includes founder and VP of Business Development at MC-Fibers. He currently chairs FirstMark’s Scientific Advisory Board, which comprises top U.S. opinion leaders in cardiology. Dr. Sikora earned his Ph.D. from UCLA, MBA (2006) from the Rady School of Management and B.S. in biochemistry cum laudefrom UCLA.

Pierre Sleiman

Pierre Sleiman

Pierre Sleiman is Founder & CEO of Go Green Agriculture - a cutting-edge farming business that uses technology to grow organic produce inside climate-controlled greenhouses, year-round. Go Green’s technology allows plants to be grown using up to 80% less water and a fifth of the land. Go Green currently produces over half a million heads of lettuce per month, and sells to hundreds of customers such as Costco, Whole Foods, Safeway, Jimbo’s, and many more. Pierre double majored in Computer Science and Business at UC Riverside and obtained his MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2013.

Ashley Van Zeeland

Ashley Van Zeeland, Secretary

Dr. Van Zeeland has been leading innovative genomics research and development programs for the past 15 years, and is currently VP, Product Development Business Operations & Systems Integration at Illumina. Previously, she was co-founder and CEO of Cypher Genomics, a cloud-based genome interpretation company, which sold to Human Longevity, Inc. (HLI) in 2015. At HLI Dr. Van Zeeland served as Chief Technology Officer, directing the software and bioinformatics development for a large-scale genomics platform, and enabling health intelligence and related products. Prior to founding Cypher Genomics, she served as Director, Strategic Partnerships at the Scripps Translational Science Institute where she focused on novel public-private partnerships to accelerate translational research. Before transitioning to her role as Director, Strategic Partnerships she was a research fellow in bioinformatics and statistical genetics at the Scripps Translational Science Institute and led groundbreaking work in neuroimaging genetics of autism, neurodevelopmental disorders and other rare genetic pediatric diseases while at UCLA. Dr. Van Zeeland sits on the board of the UCSD California Institute for Innovation and Development (CIID), the UCSD Rady School of Management Alumni Board, and SparkBio board. She has been the recipient of numerous business and science awards including the BIOCOM Life Science Catalyst award, the UCSD 40 under 40 and Emerging Leader Alumni Awards, and San Diego 500 Influential Business Leader award. She holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles and MBA (2012) from the UC San Diego, Rady School of Management.
