Our Alumni Board

The mission of the Rady Alumni Association is to build lifelong personal and professional relationships among alumni, students, the Rady School, and business leaders through connection, community and contribution. The Rady Alumni Board works to increase the value of the Rady School of Management’s Graduate Degrees and strengthen the Rady Alumni Network.

    Mimi Kotter

    President
    Mimi Kotter is an accomplished marketing expert with experience in the medical device and energy sectors spanning various roles in renowned organizations such as Sempra Energy and NuVasive. In 2022, Mimi embarked on a transformative journey away from the corporate realm joining forces with her sister and two visionary entrepreneurs to establish a cutting-edge wellness and aesthetics clinic pushing boundaries and delivering innovative solutions in the healthcare and beauty industries. A proud native of San Diego, Mimi holds an undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara and earned an MBA in 2019 from the Rady School of Management.

  • Haytham Allos

    Haytham Allos

    Haytham Allos is a visionary technical executive with over 20 years of experience. He has been Chief Technology Officer for various companies related to technology development and real estate, including bringing fractional real estate ownership to the masses through blockchain. As a respected technical leader, Haytham is a key resource, critical thinker, and out-of-the-box problem solver. Today, he founded a startup pursuing Artificial Intelligence with blockchain technologies to create the next-generation web experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego and received his MBA in 2006 from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego.

  • Theo Constantouros

    Theo Constantouros

    Chair, Engagement Committee
    Theo Constantouros is a Principal Technical Program Manager at Intuit Inc. leading the IT Integration efforts across all Mergers and Acquisitions. Prior to Intuit, he worked as an M&A Strategy Manager at Cisco Systems in the corporate development group, driving revenue and efficiencies by successfully leveraging Cisco’s scale. As a Rady student he served as President of the Rady Student Board, Co-Editor of the Rady Business Journal, and Lead Student Ambassador. He received a BA in Biochemistry from the University of Southern California, with a minor in Biotechnology, and an MBA in 2017 from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego.

  • Zian (Sinal) Deng

    Zian (Sinal) Deng

    Zian is an experienced professional in the internal audit area. Currently, he is a Senior Risk Advisory Consultant at Grant Thornton's Los Angeles office, focusing on improvement of processes and internal controls for businesses in various industries. Before joining Grant Thornton, Zian was an internal control & compliance analyst at one of the largest US recreational motorcycle distributors. Professional designations he holds include CISA (Certified Information System Auditor), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine, and earned an MPAc degree in 2021 from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego.

  • Bryan Knox

    Bryan Knox

    Bryan Knox is the General Manager at Catalent San Diego (formerly Pharmatek), a contract dosage form development and GMP manufacturing organization supporting biotech and pharma partners.  Prior to becoming the GM in 2017, he was the Senior Director of Pharmaceutics and has a broad background in preclinical and clinical drug development and manufacturing of small molecules and peptides.  He led Catalent to become a founding partner of the BioCAP program launched in 2021 with the UC San Diego Division of Biological Sciences and serves on the board of Connect.  He received his BS in biochemistry from UC San Diego and earned his MBA in 2007 from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego.

  • Joshua Kuss

    Joshua Kuss

    Josh has 20 years of experience in commercial and strategy leadership roles within the biotech and consumer tech spaces, with a focus on catalyzing emerging markets and transforming organizations. Josh is currently AVP, Strategy & Planning, Diagnostics & Genomics at Agilent Technologies.  At Illumina, he was the Global Head of Commercial Strategy, where his teams were responsible for commercial strategic planning, product commercialization, and organizational change management. He holds a Bachelors in Marketing from the University of San Diego, and received his MBA in 2008 from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego.

  • Pete Major

    Pete Major

    Chair, Philanthropy Committee
    Pete Major has been in FinTech for the last 20 years, leading teams in system conversions and mergers within the credit union industry. Pete is a proud graduate of the Rady Flex Evening 2014 MBA program. He also successfully completed the Spring 2022 Rady StartR Business Accelerator program, which helped him and another classmate launch a travel and tourism mobile app start-up, Drives and Detours.

  • Keegan McNamara

    Keegan McNamara

    Keegan McNamara is a real estate developer who specializes in urban infill, smart growth developments. Keegan also owns a boutique brokerage and property management company, MV Properties.  Keegan oversees the day-to-day strategy and operations of MV Properties. In addition, he advises select clients and investors on real estate investment strategies – as an advisor and co-investor. Keegan is a licensed California real estate broker, and is active in the Urban Land Institute. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and English from Occidental College. Keegan earned an MBA in 2011 from the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego, with a focus on Finance.

  • Hiroki “Rocky” Mitsuhashi

    Hiroki “Rocky” Mitsuhashi

    Rocky Mitsuhashi is a President at the US entity of Digital Garage, a Japanese Technology conglomerate that runs fintech, crypto, marketing businesses as well as startup investment globally, and is based in San Francisco since 2020. Prior to that, Rocky was based in Tokyo as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and management consultant. Rocky co-founded the Rady Japan Website and has been leading the Rady Alumni Tokyo Chapter. Rocky received his MBA in 2008 from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego.

  • Kim Pendergrass

    Kim Pendergrass

    Kim Pendergrass is the Co-Founder and CEO of Algeon Materials, an advanced materials climatetech start-up creating sustainable plastics from kelp. She has 10+ of early-stage company experience including Product Marketing at Rivian on the B2B Energy and Charging Team and leading the Marketing Division of Nvoicepay, a Fleetcor Company in the B2B fintech saas space. Kim is passionate about the environment and an avid outdoorswoman. She holds Bachelor's degrees in Marketing, International Business, and Art History from Oregon State University. Kim received her MBA in 2022 from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego.

  • Martin Sabarsky

    Martin Sabarsky

    Chair, Careers Committee
    Martin Sabarsky is CEO of Cellana LLC, a leading developer of algae-based bioproducts, and he’s also a partner at Kirkpatrick & Sabarsky LLP, a San Diego-based transactional law firm.  Previously, Martin served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Diversa Corp. (Nasdaq: DVSA), a public biotechnology company.  Before Diversa, Martin worked as an investment banker at Bear Stearns, focusing on financings and mergers and acquisitions within the life sciences sector, including Diversa’s $200 million IPO.  Before that, Martin worked as a transactional attorney with Latham & Watkins LLP on over $10 billion of transactions in a variety of sectors.  Martin has an A.B. in Biology and Political Science from Brown University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and he received his MBA in 2006 from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego. 

  • Chris Schubert

    Chris Schubert

    Chris Schubert is the Director of Strategic Operations at Safe Harbor Marinas, the largest operator of boatyards and marinas in the United States. During his time with Safe Harbor, he has focused on transactional platforms for superyachts, turnaround management for challenged business units, and internal consulting. Prior to that, Chris served in the navy as an aviator, commanding missions throughout the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Mediterranean Sea, then later as the Chief of Staff in the Naval Operations and Plan directorate of the Pentagon. He has a Bachelor's of Science in Economics from the US Naval Academy and received his MBA in 2023 from the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego.
  • Zachary Smith

    Zachary Smith

    Zack Smith serves as Executive Philanthropic Officer for UC San Diego. In his role, he partners with the Chancellor and other academic leaders to advance the mission of UC San Diego. Previously, Zack served as Vice President of University Development and CEO of the Cal Poly Foundation. Zack brings extensive higher education, nonprofit management and fundraising experience to this role. Prior to joining Cal Poly, he served as executive director of development for the Jacobs School of Engineering at UC San Diego where he led the efforts of the external relations staff including major and principal gifts, donor relations, stewardship and events. Before joining the Jacobs School, he served in a similar role at the Rady School of Management as well as in leadership and development roles at Palomar Health Foundation, California Western School of Law and Portland State University. Zack earned a Bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice from Portland State University and an MBA at the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego.
