Thomas Beyer is the Executive Director of the Master of Science Business Analytics program.
With 20+ years in consulting at Deloitte and KPMG, Thomas brings a unique blend of industry expertise, intimate knowledge of business analytics trends, a passion for teaching, and a global network to enhance student success and MSBA program growth.
As Senior Partner at Deloitte, he led the Analytics & Cognitive practice, managing 1,200 practitioners and driving AI initiatives. As Global Head of Digital Transformation at KPMG, he worked at the forefront of emerging business trends, advising organizations on the capabilities and associated skills that are required to stay competitive in an evolving digital landscape.
Thomas served as CEO of 11:59.ai, leading a 2 -year transformation into a modern digital transformation consulting firm specializing in GenAI and is the Managing Partner at consultAIncy LLC, a firm that provides corporate development services to companies focused on Generative AI.
He provided guest lectures in various UCSD Masters programs on topics including "GenAI in Business," "Leadership," and the "Societal and business impact of emerging technologies like GenAI and Web3" .
He is the co-author of publications such as "AI-augmented government" and "The New Technology Frontier for Developing Economies", and authored the foreword for the KPMG publication "Voices on 2030: Digitalizing government”.
Thomas holds a Diplom-Ingenieur / Master of Science in Food Engineering from the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany.
