Juan (Bosco) Luján Valladolid, MBA ’12 is a Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, where he serves Ultra-high Net-worth Individuals, Institutional Investors & Family Offices. Mr. Lujan is a Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM®), who holds the Family Wealth Director, Senior Portfolio Management Director, Alternative Investments Director, and International Client Advisor designations at Morgan Stanley. Bosco Chairs the firms’ International Wealth Management Advisory Council, and he was named to Forbes Magazine’s 2023, 2022 & 2021 Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in Private Wealth. He has over 23 years of business experience working in Mexico, New York, and California where after venturing into entrepreneurship and having worked in the Advertising, Beer & Consumer Packaged Goods industries at companies such as Gamesa-Quaker, FEMSA, & Heineken USA, he transitioned into Wealth Management in late 2007 working at Investment Placement Group, a boutique firm that specialized in Fixed Income. During the school year of 1998-1999, Bosco volunteered as Dean of Discipline at Oaklawn Academy in Edgerton, Wisconsin, and Youth for the Third Millennium in New York City.
Mr. Luján earned an MBA from UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management where he studied Modern Portfolio Theory under Nobel Laureate Harry Markowitz. He holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tec de Monterrey, and he was on the Board of the Business Leadership Program (PLEI). He recently completed IPADE’s AD-2 Senior Management Program.
Bosco is a member of the Board of Trustees at the UCSD Foundation, where he sits on the Investment/Finance Committee. Mr. Lujan was President of the Alumni Board at Rady School of Management and a former Director of the Alumni Board at UC San Diego. Mr. Lujan has served on the Board of Mater Dei Catholic High School Foundation, Inc., and was a member of the Investment Committee at the International Community Foundation. He served on the Board of Trustees of Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park where he Chaired the Investment Committee. Bosco resides in Coronado, California where he lives with his wife and three children and coaches his son’s soccer team at Sacred Heart Parish School.
