Martha Dennis

Martha Dennis co-founded and was President and CEO of WaveWare Communications, a developer of wireless synchronization products. She also co-founded and served as Vice President of Engineering at Pacific Communications Sciences, Inc. (PCSI), a developer and manufacturer of mobile wireless communications equipment. Most recently, Dr. Dennis was a venture partner with Windward Ventures. She currently sits on the boards of SpaceMicro, Clarinova, and Netsapiens, which she chairs. She is an active advisory board member to several other San Diego technology companies. She also serves on the board of the La Jolla Music Society, the San Diego Museum of Art and Investigative Newsource and is an Emeritus member of the board of Harvey Mudd College. In the past, Dr. Dennis chaired the City of San Diego Science and Technology Commission and served as board president of CommNexus, The Bishop’s School, Athena, and the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. She is active in Tech Coast Angels, the Chairman’s Roundtable, and is the volunteer head of the CommNexus NextStage program. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Smith College, as well as a master’s degree and Ph.D. in computer science from Harvard University.
