There are many ways to give employees a financial stake in the fortunes of their company, and each company must identify the right approach in light of their unique conditions and circumstances. Beyster Institute consultants offer expert guidance in navigating this process.
The Beyster Institute also provides training opportunities to companies interested in the employee ownership business strategy, business owners looking to transition out of their companies, and professional advisers who want to better serve their clients by gaining employee ownership knowledge.
The Beyster Institute provides educational offerings that range from one-hour online sessions to intensive three-day seminars, and are tailored to the unique needs of employee-owned companies. Covering everything from technical topics to ownership culture, our offerings are led by expert instructors with real-world experience in employee ownership.
The Beyster Institute offers Rady MBA candidates a unique opportunity to learn about employee ownership through two MBA elective courses. The first course offers a comprehensive review of employee ownership for Rady School MBA students titled, "Topics in Corporate Governance: Techniques in Equity Compensation." This class covers the full range of equity incentive and compensation techniques, from synthetic equity programs to leveraged ESOPs. The second course, "Creating a High-Performance Workplace," introduces students to effective strategies and practices for the development of a high-performance workplace. The course looks at actual companies to examine how today's businesses are fashioning new ways to maximize productivity and performance.
The Beyster Institute provides opportunities for high-achieving Rady graduate students to participate in an educational practicum that includes attending management seminars, working with senior consultants and communications and marketing professionals, and assisting in the development of financial forecast models.
