Kathy Self

Kathy Self joined the Rady School of Management in 2015. She oversees career development for incoming and current Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) students. She provides individual and group guidance on career exploration, goal setting, interview preparation and salary negotiation. She connects employers with MPAc students for full time and internship opportunities.

Self’s work with UC San Diego students began in 2007 as an internship advisor providing professional development and communication training. She later supported business and engineering students as a career generalist and career development instructor at the main campus career center. Self earned her bachelor’s degree in public affairs from Wells College and a master’s degree in counseling with specialization in career and adult development from the University of San Diego.
