David To

Graduate Program Advisor – Full-Time MBA

David To is responsible for supporting students in the Full-Time MBA program. He monitors their academic progression toward graduation and advises them on how to resolve academic difficulties. He assists with course planning, registration, and student affairs events. David works collaboratively with faculty, other Rady offices and campus partners to stay up to date with policies and changes.

David has over nine years of academic advising experience from the University of Oregon, Indiana University, San Diego State University, and UC Irvine. Prior to academic advising, he was a middle school English and History teacher. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and an Ed.S. in Multicultural and Equity Studies from The Ohio State University.

In 2022, he was awarded NACADA’s Outstanding Primary Role Advising Award for his work supporting international business students and in 2020 received San Diego State University’s Presidential Staff Excellence Award.
