Irene Meloney

Director of Graduate Student Affairs

Irene Meloney oversees the graduate student affairs team that is responsible for all graduate academic and student services advising, course scheduling, TA employment, financial aid and funding, and student programming including co-curricular programs and services.

Before coming to the Rady School in 2022, Meloney worked at the University of San Diego School of Law for 11 years, most recently as the director for law student affairs. In that role, she provided support and guidance to all JD students in achieving their academic and curricular goals. She also served as the primary contact for the student government and over 40 law student organizations. Meloney has a bachelor’s degree in geography and political science from UCLA. She earned her JD from UC College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly known as UC Hastings) and is a member of the State Bar of California.
