Technology, Innovation and Supply Chain Minor (RS25)

The industry demand for supply chain discipline is expected to grow faster than any other sector for at least the next ten years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The supply chain is also the key discipline in the consulting sector. In addition, technology, including digitization, blockchain, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence, and changing customer expectations push the supply chain profession to seek people who can pioneer advancements at the intersection of the supply chain and the data analytics with soft skills.

The TISC minor can be combined with any minor or major, except the Business Analytics minor.

To assist with your planning and to review course descriptions, click on the course’s title on Rady’s Tentative Schedule of Classes on Rady’s undergraduate webpage.

Important Policies:

  • All courses must be taken for a letter grade and passed with a grade of C- or better. Students must finish the minor with an overall minor GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Students may overlap 8 upper division units between their major and minor. There is no restriction for overlapping lower-division units.
  • A minimum of 5 courses for the TISC minor must be taken at UC San Diego.

What is Supply Chain and Why is it important?

Declaring the Minor

The Technology, Innovation, and Supply Chain minor is open to registered UC San Diego students pursuing a bachelor's degree, except students pursuing a minor in Business Analytics. There is no separate admissions process. Please note that due to required course overlap, students are not permitted to minor in both Technology, Innovation, and Supply Chain and Business Analytics.

We encourage students to declare the minor as soon as possible, to ensure you are meeting all program requirements. In addition, Rady sends important information regarding class offerings and policy changes to our minor students through our minor list.

You may declare a minor through Tritonlink by using the Major/ Minor Tool. For more information on how to declare, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
