Barbara Bliss

Barbara Bliss is also an Associate Professor of Finance in the Knauss School of Business at University of San Diego. Bliss teaches courses in corporate finance. Her research focuses on payout policy (dividends and share repurchases), securities litigation, and price discrimination. She has published research in the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Futures Markets, Washington University Law Review, and currently has other articles under review. She also conducts the Introductory Doctoral Research Methods Bootcamp, an introductory research methods course required for all incoming finance doctoral students. She won the Gamma Phi Beta Impactful Professor Recognition Awards in 2014 and 2017, and the SBA Junior Faculty Research Award in 2014.
