Profile
Bob Schmidt is Executive Director of The Brandes Center at UC San Diego Rady School of Management. He directs all aspects of this investment-focused research center. Bob also serves as a part-time lecturer in the Master of Finance program at the Rady School. Previously, Bob led the Brandes Institute, an investment think tank associated with Brandes Investment Partners. Prior to joining Brandes in 2000, he worked as Head Writer with Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management. Previously, Bob was an Associate Vice President with Western Financial Corp. He earned a BA (magna cum laude) from Duquesne University and an MA from California State University, San Marcos.
