Emmanuel Vallod

Emmanuel Vallod is Chief Investment Officer at Stake Capital, a blockchain-focused investment firm active in the space since 2012. He previously was a Partner at GSR Ventures, which is an early-stage venture firm focused on early-stage startups, with over $3 billion under management. He spearheaded Blockchain in Finance at Rady in 2023. Since 2011, Vallod has been a member of the Professional Faculty at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, advising students working on Econometrics, Securitized Markets, Fintech & Blockchain theses. He also serves as an advisor for Skydeck, a high-tech entrepreneurship startup accelerator and incubator joint program between the Haas School of Business and Berkeley College of Engineering. Vallod has 12 years of professional experience, specializing in fintech, blockchain, debt capital markets, and quant finance. He served as a Director and Head of Research for Mortgage and Securitized Credit at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, and was a Founder & CEO for SumUp Analytics, a text analytics platform which enables its users, including Fortune 100 companies and large hedge funds, to extract key insights in a fast and efficient way.
