Shirin Shahsavand

Profile

Following college, Dr. Shahsavand developed mobile applications as Manager of Washington State’s Smart Management Research Center. She then served as Operations Manager for Voiland College of Engineering Online Programs at WSU, developing and maintaining the student database and data analytic tools and collaborating with industry partners to create an industry-focused curriculum and support student recruitment efforts. During this time, she also consulted as an Efficiency Analyst for Persona Nutrition. Upon returning to graduate school, Dr. Shahsavand taught several courses at WSU, including: Integrated Supply Chain Management; Operations Management; Business Statistics; and Business Statistics Online Lab. 

Dr. Shahsavand earned numerous awards for teaching and research in graduate school, and she has been actively engaged for years in volunteer work mentoring youth in computing, analytic, and programming skills.
