Keith Peterson

Lecturer of Innovation, Technology, and Operations

Dr. Peterson has a PhD in Psychology from Vanderbilt University, an MA in Experimental Clinical Psychology from San Diego State University, and 30 years of strategic leadership experience. Prior to his work in academia, he co-founded a computer technology market research firm, a marketing analytics software firm, and led an early-stage supply chain software firm to growth and a profitable exit. While in the corporate phase of his career, he engaged in proprietary research on applying quantitative algorithms and business rules systems to automate choice behavior in retail demand for consumer goods. During his appointment as the Executive Director of Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) Programs for the Rady School of Management from 2021 to 2023, Dr. Peterson began teaching Business Analytics courses at Rady. His current research focuses on artificial intelligence methods to improve and automate a range of supply chain systems, including demand forecasting, inventory control, and supplier risk assessment.
