Joseph Pecore

Pecore has over 30 years of work experience in Accounting & Finance and 14 years of teaching experience at Rady.  In addition to teaching, which he loves to do, his consulting business provides senior level financial advisory services to local solar energy companies. 

In 2010, he joined the faculty at the Rady undergraduate program, where he is also very active in providing mentoring and career advising to accounting students.  Also, at UC San Diego, Pecore won Outstanding Professor of the Year award in 2015 and Distinguished Professor of the Year award in 2018.

Before Rady, he held in various leadership and management roles in accounting and finance in the San Diego life sciences industry working in the areas of general accounting, financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, partnerships, strategic planning, cost accounting, treasury, and insurance.
