Todd Salovey

Todd Salovey has taught for the Rady School of Management since 2009, when he added a Rady concurrent lecturer appointment to his continuing lecturer appointment in UCSD’s Theater and Dance Department. Salovey has a unique and outstanding professional background for the subjects that he teaches at Rady. In addition to teaching and mentoring students in management communications, as well as acting, directing and producing for the UCSD Department of Theatre and Dance, he also served as Director, Producer, Writer, and Associate Artistic Director of the San Diego Repertory Theater for 32 years. In 2020, the Yale School of Management asked Mr. Salovey to develop an orientation workshop called, “Fierce and Authentic”, which he continues to offer to four hundred participants each year as a core of the Yale SOM orientation. He coaches presentations and communications for leaders in business, biotech, academia and not-for-profits. and conducts numerous workshops in programs that Professor Vish Krishnan directs for residents and faculty in the UCSD Medical School. Salovey’s live workshops are part of Rady’s recruitment offerings for prospective students. He has been awarded numerous UCSD teaching awards in both Theatre and at Rady, most recently in May 2023.
