Michael McKay

Michael McKay has been actively involved in the business and education communities in San Diego for nearly forty years. He began teaching at University of San Diego in 1984 and joined the Rady faculty in 2014. He has held high-level executive and managerial positions with companies such as Divinity Products, Oxford University Press, and Catholic Charities. McKay is a web start-up owner, a frequent mentor and advisor to students, and prolific volunteer and board member for university and community organizations.  His service to the community and higher education has extended to positions including Department Director for Refugee Services at Catholic Charities, Director in the Department of Student Affairs at the University of San Diego, and associate program director of the San Diego Wilson/Fish Comprehensive Resettlement Collaborative, a refugee assistance and resettlement program. He has developed curriculum and instructional materials for Rady and co-designed Ireland’s Silicon Valley, a five-week undergraduate global education experience for University of California San Diego Global Seminar program (taught in Dublin and London).
