Rebecca Royal

Rebecca Royal worked at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. from 2013 to 2023. Starting there as a Program Manager, she quickly rose to Director of Program Planning and Control, and finally Senior Director, Program Control and Services. Prior to that, Royal worked at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), progressively moving into higher-level managerial positions over 20 years. She spent two years as an MBA Program Mentor at University of San Diego, and for many years has mentored women in technology fields in university and professional settings.

Royal’s many years of professional experience in project management have made her an ideal instructor for Rady’s Undergraduate Program. She has been teaching since 2010. She teaches Business Project Management, teaming with colleague Kathleen Hedges Loftman.
